Freizeitarbeiten

This project was created as part of the "Freizeitarbeiten Ausstellung". This is a competition for apprentices in which they can create projects in their free time and then exhibit them. I made a poster, a flyer, a newspaper ad and a mail attachment.

The Nail

I modeled the nail in Blender, to get as much creative freedom as possible. The nail symbolises the work put in by the apprentices. Many of the projects were handcrafted. I did not want the nail to look sterile, so i used metal textures that are a little rough. I especially like the look in combination with the duplex color vectorisation done in Illustrator. The textures stem from various stitched textures from Polyhaven. I edited them via Photoshop.

Color Concept

I chose red because it matches the colors of the appenzell coat of arms. I did not want to use Full paper white, as it would not match well with the non-sterile look i was going for. So i chose this beige tone as a secondary color.
